These two valves provide non-electric thermal control of primary hot water circuits or thermal bypass circuits in fully pumped systems. Possible applications are underfloor heating manifolds, solar and solid fuel heating systems, and replacement temperature control for DHW cylinder, when unable to upgrade complete control system.
With fast acting, remote sensors, they ensure safe temperature levels and reduced running costs. Both valves close off the primary flow as the temperature of the sensor reaches set point.
The VT100R is a simple two port direct acting valve. The VT112, however, has three ports providing automatic bypass back to the boiler when the primary flow is shut. Under Building Regulations, these controls may only be fitted to existing gravity hot water systems, in exceptional circumstances.
